A new Cabinet under Japan’s new Prime Minister, Ishiba Shigeru, was officially inaugurated today.

Japan at present faces a host of difficult challenges including exiting from a deflationary economy, achieving carbon neutrality, and responding to the turbulent international situation.

It is our hope that the new Cabinet will tackle these issues with speed and decisiveness, and promote policies that will enable Japan to achieve flourishing and sustainable growth into the future.

With the automobile industry confronting an increasingly harsh environment, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association will continue to contribute to the development of the Japanese economy by actively working towards the achievement of carbon neutrality in road transport and the industry’s transformation to new mobility.
