Action Plan For Development And Diffusion Of Low-Pollution Vehicles

The Action Plan for Development and Diffusion of Low-Pollution Vehicles has today been made public by the government of Japan. The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association hopes the proliferation of Low-Pollution Vehicles will be further promoted by this Plan.

We at JAMA have been actively engaged in the development and proliferation of Low-Pollution Vehicles so far, and will make further efforts for the diversification of Low-Pollution Vehicles models, cost reduction, early achievement of fuel efficiency standards ahead of schedule, and early supply of Low-Pollution Vehicles that comply with the standards. Those endeavors are all spelt out in the Action Plan with which we will fully cooperate.

In addition, we will embark on positively the voluntary disclosure of Low-Pollution Vehicles shipment trends and other related issues.
