July 1, 2003
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA; Chairman: Yoshihide Munekuni) will host the 37th Tokyo Motor Show at Makuhari Messe, Chiba from Friday, October 24 through Wednesday, November 5 (public exhibition begins Saturday, October 25). In addition to the new sponsorship program that began this year, JAMA has also decided to introduce a new "Ad Board Package" that will provide billboard and sign space within the exhibition site, primarily for parts exhibitors and temporary concession food stands. Space will go on sale on Tuesday, July 1 through Hakuhodo Inc., which has been appointed the agent for the sponsorship program. Applications will continue to be accepted until the end of July (deadline subject to change).
The new "Ad Board Package" responds to a long-standing request from parts exhibitors for opportunities to expose their brands in locations other than their own booths. The sponsorship program for the 37th show has provided brand exposure opportunities in the form of advertising within the exhibition site and, for some sponsors, special booths. The "Ad Board Package" will provide exposure opportunities that are limited just to signs and billboards. The secretariat has prepared four types of package with a mixture of several different exposure locations. Ad board users will be able to choose the package that best suits their needs.
Revenue from the "Ad Board Package" will be pooled with revenues from the sponsorship program for use in improving visitor programs and services.
