JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW BIZWEEK 2024
Promoting New Business Co-Creation
Details of Show Programs & Events
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (Chairman: Masanori KATAYAMA) is pleased to announce details for the diverse programs and events planned for JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW BIZWEEK 2024, to be held from October 15 (Tuesday) through October 18 (Friday), 2024 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.
Last year saw the transformation of the 70-year-old Tokyo Motor Show into the Japan Mobility Show, a co-creation promotional initiative bringing together companies across industries to imagine wide-ranging visions for the future.
Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024 will feature exhibitor booths, a business-matching program, and the Future Mobility Forum, with the aim of connecting companies and startups across industries to promote new mobility-based business partnerships. More than 200 companies and organizations have signed up to exhibit at the show and (as of September 16) over 500 project topics have been listed on the “Meet-up Box” business-matching platform. Launched on August 20, registration for Meet-up Box is ongoing and the number of companies registering for the service is increasing daily. The Meet-up Box platform can continue to be used after the show’s conclusion, to enable mobility-related and other companies and startups across industries to join forces and co-create the future.
Note: Admission to Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2024 is free of charge but requires online registration through the official Japan Mobility Show website for all visitors.
Exhibitor Booths
The section of the show featuring exhibitor booths will enable startups and established companies to come together to co-create the future. A total of 150 startups and 58 established companies will be present in the booth area to exhibit their business concepts, describe the challenges they aim to meet in realizing their visions for the future, and communicate with show attendees for new business co-creation.
Under the banner “All roads lead to the future,” the exhibit at the booth representing JAMA’s member automobile manufacturers will detail their multi-pathway approach to achieving carbon neutrality. Passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles featuring carbon emissions-reducing technologies will also be on display.
The Business-Matching Program
(Business-matching service available before, during and after the show)
This program will provide established companies and startups with the opportunity to hold in-person business meetings at Bizweek 2024 to engage in detailed joint business discussions (which may include reverse-pitching, etc.). In addition, companies can input information on their supply-side needs, demand-side needs and business challenges using the Meet-up Box online communication platform, which will enable companies to learn about each other prior to the start of Bizweek 2024 to prepare for possible business meetings at the show.
As of September 16, 214 startups and 332 established companies have registered for this service. From September 20, information on companies registered with Meet-up Box will be available, allowing interested parties to communicate directly with each other on specific projects, plan business meetings, and, for companies and startups participating in the business-matching events at Bizweek 2024, use other features of the service that will facilitate optimally effective business discussions during the show. Use of the Meet-up Box service will continue to be available after the show, to provide support for more business co-creation in the future. For details on how to register for the service, see below.
